I was talking to a friend of mine who is a super talented rapper.
He was just starting out, so he hardly had any followers.
He made me listen to a few songs on his phone and I thought that he was exceptional with his craft.
I asked him why he wasn’t pursuing a career in it.
I expected that he would say that his parents don’t support him, or he doesn’t have the money or maybe he doesn’t know how.
It was scarier than that.
He told me…
And these were his exact words
He told me, “Man I would but I know I am not good enough. All my friends tell me so.”

Think of your friend circle.
Are they the ones that lift you up or bring you down.?
Do they believe in your dreams or do they mock you for it?
Get rid of that one loser friend who wants to remain mediocre.
You will not find happiness there.

“If I had to advise parents, I should tell them to take great care about the people with whom their children associate . . . Much harm may result from bad company, and we are inclined by nature to follow what is worse than what is better.”
– Elizabeth Ann Seton
